I write to share good news on OmniMesh’s patent strategy: We have received the green light to go global with the patent for our mutual distributed ledger (MDL) technology, which covers all wireless, distributed exchanges of money for services.
In Fall 2019, our U.S. patent for the MDL was granted quickly and without objection by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, giving OmniMesh the lead in monetizing distributed wireless transactions. Our momentum has grown as we have been diligently fencing around this intellectual property with international filings and additional U.S. filings.
Now, OmniMesh has been notified last week that a global search has been completed under the auspices of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The PCT process makes it possible for investors to seek patent protection simultaneously in a large number of countries (> 150). The effect of the international patent filing is the same as the effect of the U.S. patent application.
According to the PCT Examiner’s International Search Report and Written Opinion, all of OmniMesh’s patent claims have been deemed novel, inventive, and applicable to our industry—clearing the way for us to protect our intellectual property worldwide. This is great news for OmniMesh, a clear sign of our momentum to change the way wireless transactions are monetized, and evidence that our intellectual property strategy continues to pay off and enhance the growth potential of OmniMesh.
