OmniMesh today demonstrated a working prototype of its wireless mesh edge network node, streaming 4K high-definition video content to a flat-panel display. The content was striped across multiple solid-state drives and reassembled by the central node, which wirelessly relayed video, sound, and digital rights management data to a flat panel display.
OmniMesh also demonstrated its prototype user interface and router firmware tool, which customers use to create an OmniMesh account and connect their router. The firmware tool is capable of modifying the firmware of existing home routers to support OmniMesh’s online marketplace for video and bandwidth exchange. The demonstration took place at The Tech Garden in Syracuse, NY.
